When can I use it?
Beta sign-up is open now. Create your free account above and we'll email your invite as soon as uploads open. Beta testers use LaughLion free. Paid plans open at launch.
What footage works?
Anything from a phone at the back of the room to a 4K multi-camera shoot, horizontal or vertical. Send the original file, not one saved from Instagram, for the sharpest clips.
How long do you keep my videos?
48 hours after your clips are ready, then your footage and clips are deleted. We remind you before anything expires. Transcripts and bit breakdowns stay in your account.
What counts as a clip?
One download. Editing, previewing and re-downloading the same version are free. Unused clips don't roll over.
How do footage hours work?
Each plan includes hours of footage per month: Starter 4, Pro 10, Artist 25, Superstar 40. Hours count the length of your set, not your number of cameras, so a one-hour set shot on three cameras uses one hour. Each upload can be up to 2 hours. Unused hours don't roll over.
I have years of old sets. Can I upload them all?
Yes, a bit at a time. Upload what you want to clip this month, since footage is deleted 48 hours after your clips are ready. Want to clear more at once? Add a Backlog pack for +10 hours, one time, no subscription change.
I edit clips for several comics. Can I use one account?
Each plan is for one comic, so their brand kit, styles and word list stay their own. Editors, clubs and production teams can get one account with a profile for each comic. Talk to us.
How will I know when my clips are ready?
We email you as soon as they're ready, with a link to see them on LaughLion. If you haven't downloaded them yet, we send one reminder before they expire.
What if the captions get a word wrong?
Tap it and fix it. Add names and words you use often to your word list so we get them right next time.
Is there an app?
LaughLion runs in your phone's browser and can be added to your home screen like an app.
